Mira is a childcare center operations platform provided by Faizan Ansari ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes what information we collect through the Mira mobile application and web platform (collectively, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Mira is designed for use by childcare center directors, staff, and families. Because the Service processes information relating to children, we take data privacy seriously and have designed our practices with the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state laws in mind.
Account information. When a center director or administrator creates an account, we collect name, email address, phone number, and the name and address of the childcare center.
Staff information. Directors may add staff members to the platform. We collect staff names, email addresses, phone numbers, roles, and certification or training records relevant to childcare licensing compliance.
Child and family information. Directors and authorized staff enter information about enrolled children and their families, including:
Communications. Messages exchanged between staff and families through the in-app messaging feature.
AI assistant interactions. When a director uses the Mira AI assistant, we process the text of the query and relevant center data to generate a response. Queries and responses are not used to train external AI models.
Technical information. Device type, operating system version, and app version. We do not use third-party analytics services and do not track users across other apps or websites.
We use the information collected solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including:
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not display advertisements in the Service.
We use a limited number of service providers to operate the platform. These providers process data only on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it:
We do not share data with any other third parties. The full list above represents every external service that processes user data.
Mira is not directed at children. It is an operations tool used by adults — center directors, staff, and parents. Children do not create accounts or interact with the Service directly.
Information about children (names, dates of birth, attendance, health information) is entered and managed by authorized adults at the childcare center. This information is collected and used solely to support the child's care and the center's operational needs.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us at hello@miraos.io and we will delete it promptly.
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest within our infrastructure provider. Access to the platform is controlled through role-based permissions — directors, staff, and parents each see only the information relevant to their role. We do not store payment card numbers; all payment processing is handled by Stripe.
We retain account and center data for as long as the center maintains an active subscription. When a center's subscription ends, the center director may request deletion of all center data by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Individual parents may request deletion of their own account and associated data at any time by contacting us or their center director.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@miraos.io.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the Service or by email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
